Department for Education The National Childcare Strategy aims to increase access to high quality, affordable childcare and early years education - and to make sure that all children are given a decent start in life. Funding for childcare and early years education is therefore linked to a range of funding streams for regeneration, the eradication of child poverty and social exclusion, and the creation of a society where all children have opportunities to realise their full potential.
